Adobe XD 57.1.12 (Adobe Experience Design)
Adobe XD is a powerful, collaborative, easy-to-use platform that helps you and your team create designs for websites, voice interfaces, games, mobile apps, and more. It delivers dozens of powerful features to help teams design, prototype, share, and collaborate on rich user experiences.
This Adobe software has everything you need to work efficiently, collaborate seamlessly, and scale effortlessly. Work together with team members in the same document in real time – no more duplicating efforts or merging changes. Create design elements to reuse throughout your designs or across multiple documents from a design system.
Create animations between elements across artboards to add microinteractions and motion to your designs. Share designs with your team, clients, and stakeholders so they can experience your vision firsthand and provide feedback.
With design systems in XD, everyone can share and reuse assets to save time and keep things consistent, even as your workload and organization grow. Edit images in Adobe Photoshop, sync your favorite fonts, and share your designs in other apps like Jira, Slack, and Zeplin.
XD is cross-platform and available in multiple languages so you can collaborate across operating systems, preview your experiences across devices, and work in the language you prefer.
Adobe XD Features:
Design amazing experiences.
Go from basic wireframes to beautiful designs in no time. Define the look of your user interfaces with vector drawing tools, colors, character styles, grids, guides, and more.
- Components. Create design elements to reuse throughout an XD document or across multiple documents.
- States. Avoid duplicative work and better communicate your intent by creating variants of a component that map to different types of user interactions, such as Hover, Pressed, Disabled, and Success.
- Edit in Photoshop. Open and edit images in Adobe Photoshop directly from XD. Right-click an image, open and edit it in Photoshop, and hit “Save” – your changes will be automatically updated in XD.
- Content-Aware Layout. Easily create and edit UI elements without tedious manual work. Layout recognizes the relationships between different objects and automatically adjusts groups as you add or change objects in them.
- Vector drawing tools.. Work with a set of drawing and shape tools, Boolean operators, blend modes, and other vector editing features to create wireframes, icons, components, and other design elements.
- Responsive Resize. Easily resize groups of objects or components for different size screens and maintain relative placement and scale between objects.
- Adobe Fonts integration. Adobe Fonts automatically activate when you open an XD document.
- Precision design tools. Lay out and align your experience with artboard guides, layout grids, nudge and resize shortcuts, and relative measurement features.
- Asset export. Quickly mark elements for export, choose to batch export them for your target platform, or include them in Design Specs for developers to download.
- Repeat Grid. Select a design element and quickly replicate it as many times as you want. Update one element to modify the entire grid, adjust padding between elements, and drop a .TXT file to import data into your grid.
Create prototypes that bring your experiences to life.
Transform static designs into rich user experiences. Add interactions, motion, animation, and more.
- Interactions. Connect artboards to communicate the flow and feel of your user experiences. Use a range of triggers and actions to define the exact experience you want to create and share.
- Triggers. From common touch gestures on mobile devices to keyboard input and time-based transitions to voice commands and game controllers, XD enables you to create realistic prototypes for any type of experience.
- Preview. Preview your experiences on real devices with the XD mobile app for iOS and Android. Make changes on the desktop app and then test them on your devices for fidelity and usability.
- Auto-Animate. Create microinteractions across artboards. Duplicate an element and change its properties (such as size, position, or color), and XD bridges the differences to automatically generate an animation.
- Overlay support. Quickly add support for menus, dialog boxes, virtual keyboards, and other visual elements that overlay your content.
- Preserve scroll position. Keep elements set in the same position so they stay put as viewers scroll. This prototyping feature is great for fixed headers, footers, and more.
- Export to After Effects. Export your designs and take your animations even further with Adobe After Effects, the industry-leading animation tool.
Share and collaborate seamlessly with everyone on your team.
Adobe XD powers collaboration at every step in the creative process, whether you’re ideating with your team, getting feedback from stakeholders, or working with developers.
- Coediting (Beta). Work together with your team in the same document at the same time — no more duplicating efforts. See exactly where everyone else is working in the document as you work.
- Document history. See the entire evolution of a design – XD automatically saves as you work, so you can always go back to previous versions. Mark milestone versions to retain access to key stages in the design process.
- Share for review. Generate shareable links to get feedback on your designs, or embed them on Behance or a web page. Reviewers can comment directly on your prototypes from web or mobile.
- Share for development. Send developers a link to Design Specs that include the sequence and flow of your artboards, downloadable assets, colors, character styles, measurements, and CSS code snippets that developers can copy into their codebase.
- Invite to edit. Invite other designers to collaborate on a document. XD makes it easy to ensure that everyone can access the latest version.
- Private invitations. Choose to restrict access to your shared work by privately inviting named stakeholders. Stay in control of who reviews and comments on prototypes and who accesses Design Specs.
- Cloud documents. Save your work as a cloud document to quickly share with collaborators and use as your single source of truth. XD automatically updates cloud documents so you never lose your work.
- Record preview. As you click through your preview, record an MP4 file to share with your team or stakeholders. (macOS only)
- App integrations. XD integrates with more of your favorite collaboration and productivity apps, including Jira, Airtable, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.
