Changes in Version 6.0:

Shape Divider component
RocketCake now includes a shape divider component: It works like a container (you can place text, images etc into it) but includes a generated SVG element to make a visually appealing section divider.
They are used to divide the sections on a website, and can be used to create a nice looking transition between pieces of content. Shape Dividers in RocketCake have a set of built-in shapes (waves, curves, triangles, inclinations and more).

Built-in Visitor Analytics
There is now a web statistics component for visitor analytics available, which can also be used as visitor counter.
Add this onto a webpage in your project, and this will automatically count visitors and list interesting statistics like referrers, operting system, language etc. It runs entirely on your own server, doesn’t need cookies and doesn’t track ip adresses or your users.

Accessibility features
Lots of features to improve your website’s accessibility – which gets important with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA):
- <label> support
  Added support for the <label> element: this is text associated with a form element.

  <nav> support
  There is now a downloadable component available which creates a <nav> element. It’s the Navigation Section element, into which you can add any other element into it, like a navigation bar.
- Labels in forms by default
  The downloadable contact form components now use label elements instead of text for better accessibility
New and improved templates
There are a few new free templates available, and the existing ones have been updated with new fonts, shape dividers and in general have been updated a bit to be more modern.

Better tab control
You can now right-click any tab in the editor and a new context menu opens, where you can decide to close all tabs, or all except this tab quickly.
Additionally, tabs in the editor now all have the close button visible by default, making it easier to close tabs quickly.

Paste Images support
It is now possible to paste images directly into the editor.
Useful for example if you are for example generating AI images on a website and want them to be included on your website without saving them first to disk.
Lots of new features for slideshows and carousels
- It is now possible to change the active page of the carousel and the slideshow by simply clicking the page indicator in the editor
- It is now possible to select the start image of an slide show with the property “ActivePage” or using a click on the page indicators
- The arrows on the navigation buttons had a slight different font size in the editor than in the browser, this is fixed now
- You can now select Alt text for each image in a slideshow or background image in a carousel

Downloadable component improvements
- The search engine component now also works nicely with unicode pages and finds results for example in cyrillic, chinese and japanese documents.
- The sidebar component now has the option to just overlay the website without making the website smaller when opening. It also generates tabIndices and ariaLabels for a better lighthouse accessibility score.
- Contact form and Anti-Spam-Contact form components now use label tags

Submenu indicator for menus now looks better in the published HTML when special fonts like Segoe UI is used
Editor improvements
- The editor now scrolls automatically to the cursor position if changed by keyboard
- Dragging items around on the page is now much more precise and faster
- The element browser now shows more specific names for the elements in the browser
- When selecting an internal page from your project for a new hyperlink, you can now simply double-click the page and the dialog will close automatically, instead of needing to confirm this with a second click onto OK.
- The element browser now shows the component type name of an element directly in the tree
Added support for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus
New scripting features
- The scripting function “rcAddFileWithTextContent” can now also write files into sub folders
- Added a new scripting function ‘rcGetHTMLURLForLinkedFile’ for getting the URL for a root relative linked file from a page
Other, smaller changes:
- When closing the editor, RocketCake now asks if the user wants to save the changes or not, saving a few clicks
- The default size when images are suggested to be reduced in the editor has been increased a bit
- The built-in FTP uploader now shows which file it is currently uploading
- Folders can no longer contain spaces in their names.
- Removed support for quicktime, java and flash components.
- Pressing ENTER in the hyperlink creation dialog now closes the dialog
- Performance improvements when rendering large images in the editor
